Connor Netleton, one of our regular junior carper’s, visited us for a day fish and within 5 minutes of getting his bait in the water he hooked into, what was found later, to be a 24lb Common Carp. Connor was the envy of the lake as none of the other four anglers had not caught anything overnight! Connor used our exclusive to Newbarn Farm Carp-Tec Orange boilie.Harry and Nick, from Paignton, had a night session where they both had one carp each. Harry weighed in Casper, our celebrity Ghost Carp, at 23lbs 4ozs using a zig rig at three feet off the bottom. Nick Solomon had a nice Mirror Carp of 10lbs.Scott Bryant had a 48 hour session and in the cold conditions managed to catch two Mirrors of 12lbs 6ozs and 14lbs followed by a Common of 10lbs. Visiting Willow Pool again, Bob Bartrum of Brixham, had a busy day with constant bites throughout his session. Bob used red maggots to give himself a 9lb bag of Roach, Rudd and Perch. Bob commented that Willow has now definitely improved after some restocking earlier this year.Night fisherman, John Stanley, had a single Mirror Carp of 14lbs 7ozs using a single fruity boilie.Catch report lottery winner, Peter Bull, can collect his £10 voucher from the shop on his next visit. Peter’s catch was also just a single Mirror Carp of 6lbs using a white coconut boilie. Peter’s report stated that the Carp was in perfect condition.Returning angler, Baz Hoskins, did well at the end of his night session with a 21lbs Mirror Carp. Baz fished out of swim 6 and caught his carp under the trees near the aerator using a single hook bait. Then along came Mark Sampson, visiting from Derby. Mark had a great 24 hours with a total of nine carp wetting his unhooking mat. Queenie was his biggest at 28lbs and she was complimented by six other mirrors to 23lbs 1oz and two Commons to 18lbs 5ozs. Mark fished over a bed of hemp and sweetcorn with Berkley Gulp Particle Bomb and a 12mm boilie. Mark reported that all of his haul were caught in the margins! So although the weather is colder most visitors had a catch. Lets see what next week gives us.Tight Lines.
